Sports

Sports have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve enjoyed soccer and volleyball my whole life, but only recently I’ve developed a love for basketball. It’s an extremely creative sport and the NBA right now is the best it’s been in awhile. However, the NBA season as a whole has been put on hold. The role of sports has been on a back burner of my life now.

Nature

My relationship with nature has elevated since I appreciate it more. I get to go on my bike rides everyday with my brother in the Skokie lagoons.

Taste

I think my relationship with taste has evolved a bit, since I’m cooking so much. I’ve always loved cooking and I’m super fortunate that I get to do that everyday. Since I have to eat what I cook taste plays a bigger factor in what I make. Because if I’m going to make it, why not enjoy it?

Art

I think for me personally art has played a huge role with me during quarantine. I’ve listened to a new album almost every time I cook breakfast and I’ve found some that I’ve really liked. Another thing is that since I have so much down time, I’m starting a large scale poster art project. I think appreciating and partaking in art is more wide spread now since people have more time.

Spring

My attitude towards spring has shifted slights, as I’m sure everyone else’s has as well. My birthday is in the spring and I think it’s strange that I probably won’t be able to go see my friends and celebrate for it. The weather is slightly more gloomy these days as well when typically spring weather is nice in my opinion.

Journal #2

Recently I’ve had a lot of down time. Because of this I’ve been able to do more things that I hadn’t been able to do otherwise. I’ve listened to every Kanye album and I’ve listened to “To Pimp a Butterfly” by Kendrick Lamar as well. Also, my brother and I have been going on bike rides everyday just to get out of the house.

Journal #1

The quarantine has been tough. I think this situation weird and somewhat post-apocalyptic; everyone has just had their livelihoods stripped from them. Everyone’s trying their best to adapt to this strange situation. I’ve been trying to keep my head up about this whole situation and I think everyone should.
